I am looking for information on Sarah Drake. She married Richard McKinsey on August 17, 1797 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. I know that Richard was on the tax list for 1800 for Bourbon County and that he was at a family members wedding in 1811 in Fayette County, Kentucky.

Searching for the parents and siblings of Thomas Drake who lived in Burke, Jefferson and Warren co GA . He received a land grant in Burke Co GA in 1785. I have quite a bit of info on the Drakes of Coweta Co GA and I would like to hear from anyone interested.

I am supposably a descendant of Thomas Drake, Sir Francis Drakes brother. Why is there so little information about him and that lineage? I have been trying to trace back my family for years and although I have alot, there are still many holes in it. A distant realative of mine sent me a copy of our family back to Edmund Drake, Thomas father. So I'm trying to get documenation, and anything else so I can fill in the gates. I can't seem to get past my 2x great-grandfather, Thomas Drake, born 1810 in MD.to unknown parents,according to the census. He married Hannah Browning on 25 Jan.1837 in Harrison Co.,OH. She was born circa 1815 in either OH. or MD.

I am not related in any way to Drakes, but John Salmon (who is up my tree) is said to have been the lodge keeper for descendants of the "famous Sir Francis Drake" at Lympstone Manor around the 1840s. This is from a sort of oral history.
