Hi Roy,
With your interest in the Drake family, do you have any information on about Sir Thomas F.E. Drake, Bart. (not sure what this last bit means). I am not related in any way to Drakes, but John Salmon (who is up my tree) is said to have been the lodge keeper for descendants of the "famous Sir Francis Drake" at Lympstone Manor around the 1840s. This is from a sort of oral history. I understand that Sir Francis had no children, and hence the descendants of his could not have been at the manor. White's Devonshire directory of 1850 states that the manor was owned by the above-mentioned Drake, and hence my interest.
I would really appreciate any information you could give me!
Regards,
Kate
