I am searching for proof that Thomas Drake b.5-15-1834 was the son of Otis Drake of NY. According to Thomas' death certificate he was born in NY and his father was Otis Drake. I noted that in your reference library there was an Otis Drake with a son named Otis but no details on young Otis. Wondered if this could be it. There have been discrepancies in some of the information I have gotten about Thomas. I hope that someone can help. Thomas married a Mary Southard/Southward b. cir. 1849 (I believe somewhere in IN). They had 3 children William b.1860 IN, Harriet b. 1870 IN and Emma b. 1874 IN. Thomas was in IL in 1880 with Mary and the children. In 1900 he has a new wife of 4 years and I have been unable to find out what happened to Mary or the children. There was no marriage license listed for William or Harriet and Emma was deceased by then. Basically I need information on both ends of this branch, all I have is the middle. Any help provided would be appreciated, these guys are giving me a real headache. Debbie |
