Jacob Drake who was a composer of Religious songs. He was published at least once in 1802 of this I am sure. Have a copy of the fly page and some of the songs. This book has been in my family since it was bought in 1802, he was related to the Newberry's who Adonis Newberry was also published in the same book.

I am looking for all available information, history and accounts of their lives, and such of Jacob Drake and Mary Hannah Ross, including ancestry and descendants of both individuals. I have some information about Jacob, but very little information about Mary Hannah.

I have found in the 1880 census a family that surely resembles mine. Would like to find any members of this family. I believe William is my grandfather and that Nancy Is Nancy Ellen Ealey.

James Drake born 1.3.1831 Dumfries, son of John Drake b20.10.1801 believed to have married Agnes Watt and lived on the Isle of Wight a boatbuilder, moved to Dumfries or Grangemouth Scotland to help son who was also a boat builder.

James A. Drake joined the Union army, Ohio 164th volunteers in 1863 in Tallarage, Ohio. He married a Mary Elizabeth Newsome (maybe Hitchcock?) They went to Sedgwick Co. in KS in 1872. That I know for sure. I have questioned many other descendants but no one knows anything about him. I have been on this now for several years and keep coming to the same road block.
