From: Larry Drake Subject: John "Jack" Drake N.J. Pa. Ohio Date: Sunday, September 26, 1999 12:45 PM My gg grandfather was John Drake b. 1817 or 1808 in N.J. or Pa. His wife was Elizabeth Newland daughter of Jocob Newland of Brown County Ohio. John died in Brown co. Higgensport Ohio in 1873. My problem is the courthouse records were burned a few years ago so they weren't sure ,but they said John was born in N.J. in 1817. There was a book published around the turn of the century when some of his children were still living. The book was entitled The History of Clermont and Brown Counties. In this book it has a page about John and his children but it states that John was born in Pa. in 1808. I also can't seam to find out who John's parents or sisters or brothers were. I have several maybe's but nothing definate. Any information would be appreciated.
