According to his Civil War pension our John DRAKE was b. about 1837 in Cass Co., IN. In 1863 in Paulding Co., OH he was married to Corintha Ann CHAPMAN. (Corintha was a niece of Johnny Appleseed.) John and Corintha had 5 children:

Alfred (d.y.);
Arminda "Minnie", wife of Ed McMahon, d. Hamilton Co., IN;
Electa, b. 1870 Paulding Co., OH, wife of Ripley Steven CRAIG, lived Vermillion Co., IN, d. Pierce Co., WA. John and Corintha were divorced before Oct 1875 when Corintha remarried. Again per pension file, John d. 27 FEB 1879 in Union Co., IL leaving widow Nancy.
