I haven't really researched anything yet but I can go back to 1790 for a James Drake. My great-grandfather was James Frederick Drake (1863 - 1933). Researching this seems like such an enormous task and dunno if I have the energy :-) Soooo, do you have any suggestions for the best way to start? Thanks so much. Marcia
