We are searching for information as to the ancestry of three brothers: Thomas Drake, David Drake and William Drake. These three Drake brothers married three Hinkle sisters in Allegany County, Maryland, in the late 1700's. Thomas and his wife, Sarah Hinkle, and David and his wife, Margaret Hinkle, were early pioneers in what became Holmes County, Ohio (then Wayne County) and established the area in the northwest part of Holmes County known as Drake's Valley. They both had many children and a multitude of descendants. Much is available about the Hinkle ancestry, but nothing is known to me of the origins of the three brothers.
