Crews family information in Howard Co, Missouri |
Date: Saturday, 10 October 1998 1:55
Hello All and Roy!
Roy, I thought you might like these cemetery inscriptions for your page. I was looking through some of my Crews information in Howard Co., MO and ran across the following information concerning the Drake family there. I thought it might be useful to someone. These are working notes only so there are probably many errors. Susan is said to be descended from Enoch Crews. I have ___ Crews entered because I have not proven that Susan is a sister of our Joseph Crews. If anyone has information on the Crews family I am in desparate need of getting them sorted out. Judith Weeks Ancell jancell@spro.net 1810 Edgecliff Terrace Boise, ID 83702-2911 Descendants of _____ Crews Generation No. 1 1. _____1 CREWS. Hi, On the 1840 Madison Co Census there is a Martin Crews with 3 m 5-10/1 m 30-40/1 f u 5/1 f 10-15/1 f 20-30. The three males 5-10 yrs would have been born in the right time frame to be Joseph b. 1832. You might see if you can find a will for Martin Crews and see if he lists the children by name. Hope some of this will help. Eileen There is also a Wm Crews -1 m 20-30/? f u 5/1 f 5-10/1 f 20-30. A Thomas Crews witnessed the will of Thomas Portwood 28 Apr 1795 in Mad. co, KY. Notes for WILLIAM CREWS: William and Joseph Crews are living together in the 1860 Census in Howard County. I believe that they are brothers. However, he may not be the William Crews listed in the following obituary. This is inserted for further research.
