LUCILLE CLARK DRAKE
Lucille Clark Drake, 80, of Lake Ridge, Va., formerly of Townville,
widow of Raymond Drake, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at her residence
from injuries in a house fire.
Mrs. Drake attended Erie Business College.
She was a member of the Dale City Baptist Church.
Mrs. Drake was a pianist for the Townville Baptist Church, the
Occoquan River Baptist Church in Lake Ridge, Va., as well as in
chapels and churches in Germany and the Netherlands. She also was a
pianist for many choirs and soloists and was a Bible and Sunday school
teacher and mentor for many years throughout Europe.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Richard and Joyce Drake of
Oil City and their children, Tracy and Amy Drake, and Bruce and Barb
Drake of Centerville and their children, Jason Drake and Brenda Young;
a daughter and her husband, Cindy and Fred Bryant of Lake Ridge, Va.,
and their children, Olivia Dawn Bryant, Stefan Bryant, Jeremy Bryant
and Devon Bryant; a daughter-in-law, Linda Drake of Lancaster and her
children, Beth and Ben Drake; and four great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by a brother, Russell Clark of Upland, Ind.; and
two sisters, Miriam Smith of Westbend, Wis., and Esther Hopkins of
Spartansburg.
Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by a son, Lee Drake.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
in the Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home in Townville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First
Baptist Church of Townville.
Interment will follow in the Centerville Sunnyside Cemetery in
Centerville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local American Lung
Association, the Capital Fund Drive at Centerville Baptist Church, the
Building Fund of the Townville Baptist Church, Dale City Baptist
Churches or to the American Red Cross.
Arrangements in Virginia were in charge of the Miller Funeral Home in
Woodbridge. Locally, arrangements are in charge of the Willis L.
Arnold Funeral Home, Townville.
