Ann DRAKE-RYNEARSON OBITUARY
Date: Friday, 2 October 1998 2:26

From the Buchanan(Michigan) Record April 1895
Mrs. Rynearson Dead--Buchanan's Oldest Resident In the death of Mrs. Barnet Rynearson, which occured last Friday, Buchanan lost its oldest inhabitant, and one who it is worthy to note, lived through all the Presidential administrations with the exception of Washington and Adams. Mrs. Rynearson's maiden name was Ann Drake, and she was born April 12, 1803, thus being just 7 days more than 92 years age at the time of her death. Mrs. Rynearson's early childhood was spent in New Jersey. In 1812 she removed to Ohio, and in 1821(should be1822) was married to Barnet Rynearson, whose death occured some seven years ago. Fifteen children were born of this union of which number eight are still living, there being also some fifty grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rynearson was a woman of remarkable vitality, her physical condition being unusually good up to the time of her death. Mr. and Mrs. Rynearson, together with their family, removed to Buchanan in 1864. For fifty-four years Mrs. Rynearson has been a consistent member of the Methodist church, and her famillar face will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funeral was held at the M. E . church on Sunday afternoon, and her body interred in the family lot in Oak Ridge cemetery.
