After being in bed for less than a day with suspected influenza, Mr Reginald
William Dries, of Dawsons Hill via Goorangoola, passed away suddenyl at his
residence last night.
He was 57 years of age.
A native of the Singleton district, Mr Dires was a Son of the late Mr and Mrs
A D Dries, formerly of Westcliff, Hebden, and had lived here all his life.
A Farm Labourer, who worked for various people in the district, the late Mr
Dires was a very quiet and retiring man, but had many friends and was held in
the highest regard by all who knew him.
He is survived by his Widow ( Mrs Ruby Dries, of Dawson's Hill ), one Son and
Two Daughters. They are Mr Cliff Dries ( Ballata ), Neta ( Mrs Don Wilson,
Elderslie ), and Miss Dulcie Dries ( Singleton ).
He leaves also a Brother ( Mr Allan Dries, Lemington ), and a Sister ( May,
Mrs G E Taylor, Moree ).
The Funeral will take place morning, after a service at All Saints Church at
11 am.
