Research was undertaken by her some years ago re MATTHEW JOHN RICHARDSON and family.He being a gardener for John Kennedy Howe at Redbournberry.Barbara has now donated a copy of her RICHARDSON family book which makes fascinating reading.Convicted and sent twice to the colony,accompanying Oxley and Mitchell on expeditions, his botanical talents, marrying for a second time at Singleton, moving in later life to Newcastle, he was laid to rest in the Catholic section of the Cottage Creek Cemetery.
