I am trying to trace the place and year of the death of my Grandfather. He
was a William Henry Drake born in 1882 in Hull. He had a father called
Benjamin who was born in Norfolk where I think the family originated from.
He was married in 1903 to a Kitty Richards and they had two children Kenneth
and Kitty living in Hull. In 1915 he was "married" to my grandmother a
Lydia Kristina Persson and they had two children my mother Eda and her
brother Eric.He disappeared from their home in Birmingham in 1927 approx. to
where we do not know. Some think to Scandinavia but anyway we can find no
trace of him. Did he perhaps have a third family. I have only just
discovered his first family. They were under the impression he was listed
missing in action during the First World War, not alive and well at the time
living with a second family. Has anyone come across him whilst researching
the Drake family name? Jackie Evans
