Whereas Phebe Buck, Daughter of Phebe Buck deceased, and Grand Daughter of Samuel Drake of the County of Northampton in the State of Pennsylvania Deceased; has by her Petition presented to the Surrogate of the County of Tioga in the State of New York, requested that her Grandfather Elijah Buck of the Town of Chemung in Said County may be allowed and approved as her Guardian.

Now Know Ye – That I do hereby approve of and allow the Said Elijah Buck as Guardian for the said Phebe Buck. –
