SINGLETON BOYS & GREENWICH
– Mr. S. Gould, of High and Kent Streets, has just received a letter from his youngest son, Alec, who is at Greenwich, London, stating he has been promoted to Lieutenant. He has been in the Submarine Division for the past two years and was one of the large batch of Australian naval men who went to England on the 'Osterley's' last trip, for further training at Greenwich. His cousin, Joe Burnett, another Singletonian, is also at Greenwich. The gazettal of Lieutenant Gould appreared in the latest naval appointment.
