Soldier Brothers - Crane

Argus - Saturday-29th, December, 1917 Mrs. Crane, Voluntary Aid, in charge of the Red Cross Home at Woodford, has received word that her second son, Malcolm, has been made Lieutenant. He, with his brother, Corporal W.L. Crane, left with the original Light Horse just three years ago. Except for a few months in England owing to illness, Lieutenant M.L. Crane has never been out of Egypt since. He was eighteen when he left and his brother just twentyone. A third brother, Bombardier F.L. Crane, is now in France. The three boys are grandsons of Mr. W. Pearse of Plashett, Jerry's Plains.
