1.  CHRISTOPHER1 DRAKE was born Abt. 1796 in New York (or New Jersey?).  He
married MARGARET.

Notes for CHRISTOPHER DRAKE:
Waushara co 1860 census shows Christopher as born in New Jersey, also his wife
listed from NJ. (Note: They may both be from New York, the handwriting  on the
census is poor, and the NJs and NYs are difficult to separate)  Information
from the birth places of his children indicate that Christopher moved around
considerably. 1832 Pennsylvania; 1839 Stueben Co. New York; 1841 Chenango New
York; 
1850 Chemung Co. New York; and 1860 Saxville Wisconsin.

There is strong evidence that Christopher was somehow related to a Benjamin
Drake b. abt 1820 in New York. They both lived in Chemung count New York
before coming to Saxville, Wisconsin.  It is possible that Benjamin is the
eldest son of Christopher, however there are no records to substantiate this.
