I'm sure you get many of these and I hope you can help. My name is Scott and I live in Saginaw, Michigan, USA. For many years every since I was young my mother and my grandmother have told me that Sir Frances Drake was a relative of mine, however they had no further information. I just recently started my family tree and have become increasingly interested in finding out more information about Sir Frances Drake and if I am even related. Doing research on the "net" had unfortunately cast some doubt. But I'm not going to give up until I find out for sure.
The farthest I have gotten is back to a women by the name of KAY DRAKE. I am unsure of when or where she was born. I do know for a fact that she married a man by the name of WILLIAM HENRY SCHEMPP, who was a finish carpenter by trade. They in turn had three children that I am aware of; WILBERT HENRY, ILIANE and JERALD SCHEMPP. WILBERT HENRY SCHEMPP was born on 9 May 1909 in Mayville, Michigan, USA. I don't know (yet) who KAY DRAKE'S mother and father were.
