He married (1) Susannah Mitchell October 30, 1822 in Brown County, Ohio. She was born November 06, 1804, and died February 05, 1895 in Greensburg, Decatur County, Indiana. Family stories indicate that Gideon had a brother, Hiram, and was the son of Josiah Drake. However, I have no additional information on Josiah, Hiram, or Gideon's mother.
