Date: Wednesday, 7 April 1999 1:03 John Drake and Juliann Olinger had a son Martin born abt 1827 in either Russell or Lee Co, , Va. John and Juliann moved to Morgan Co, Ky in the 1850's (after 1852 from Lee Co, Va.), but Martin is not on the census of that county, nor in Lee Co. Children of John and Juliann are (as far as I know): James b, abt. 1822 Martin b. abt 1827 Ira b, abt 1833 Rebecca b. abt 1833 Martha b, abt 1837 Alexander b. abt 1839 Alexander is my husband's qqqrandfather. We have been able to find information on Juliann Olinger, but this John Drake has been difficult to trace. Circumstancial evidence leads us to believe that he is the son of John Drake and Martha Lester. This John Drake (husband of Martha) is our "brick wall" The LDS library has him as the son of Joseph (the longhunter) and Margaret Buchanan, but this is unlikely since their son John was in Ky , childless while John and Martha were in Montgomery Co.
