I'm still trying to find out the parents of Cargill Drake who married Martha Drake in Hancock County, GA on August 1, 1825. Martha Drake was the daughter of Epaphroditus Drake and Susan (Susannah) Barksdale. I believe Cargill and Martha were first cousins and that Cargill's father was Elisha Drake, but I have no proof. There was an Elisha Drake who married a Hally Perdue in May 1797 in Amelia County, VA and this could be his parents, but again, no proof. Cargill and Martha both spent the rest of their lives in Cobb County, GA and died there in the 1880's. Does anyone have any information on any of these Drakes? Thanks!
