Service: Spanish American War, 159th Regiment, Company H. Charles
Henry Drake, born 1 Jan 1879 Greene County, Indiana. Death 18 Aug 1958
at Hillsboro, Indiana. Buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro,
Indiana. Company H, 159th Regiment Indiana Volunteers. Mustered in 15
Jun 1898 at Bloomington, Indiana for the term of two years by Captain
William Louden. Residence at the time was Smithville, Indiana.
Mustered out 23 Nov 1898 at Indianapolis, Indiana.

Service: Mexican War, Private, 2nd Regiment, Company B, Orange County.
Mustered in 19 Jun 1846, at New Albany, Indiana, by Colonel Samuel
Churchill, mustered out 23 Jun 1847, at New Orleans, Louisiana, by
Colonel Samuel Churchill. [1]

DRAKE, JAMES A.
Service: Mexican War, Sergeant, 1st Regiment, Company E, Allen County.
Mustered in 23 Jun 1846, at New Albany, Indiana, by Colonel Samuel
Churchill. Mustered out 16 Jun 1847, at New Orleans, Louisiana, by
Colonel Samuel Churchill. [1]

DRAKE, JAMES P.
Service: Mexican War, Captain, Colonel, 1st Regiment, Company H,
Marion County. Mustered in 20 Jun 1846, at New Albany, Indiana, by
Colonel Samuel Churchill, transferred 25 Jun 1846, elected Colonel,
mustered out 16 Jun 1847 at New Orleans, Louisiana, by Colonel
Samuel Churchill. He emigrated to Georgia, after the war and event-
ually died there. [1]
