To all People to whom these presents shall come greeting ~ Know Ye that I, BENJAMIN DRAKE of the Township and County of Huntingdon, Yeoman, for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to me in hand paid by JOSEPH KELSO of Newtown Township in the County of Cumberland and State aforesaid at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge Hath granted, bargained and sold, assigned and transferred – and by these presents doth grant bargain sell assign and transfer to the said JOSEPH KELSO all my Right Title and Interest property claim and demand of in and to a certain Tract of land including an Improvement on the Clear Ridge in Huntingdon (then Bedford) County granted by a warrant dated the 22nd day of March 1785 surveyed for the above named BENJAMIN DRAKE containing one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less – also all my right title interest property claim and demand of in and to the vacant land adjoining every part and parcel thereof – with the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To Have and to Hold the said Tract of one hundred and fifty acres of land with the appurtenances also all the vacant land adjoining that is claimed by or for me, or my heirs, free from all Incumbrance or incumbrances – except the claim of the Commonwealth for purchase money and the officers of the Land office for fees – to the said JOSEPH KELSO his heirs and assigns to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twenty third day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and ninety.
