William Drake, b. 2d July, 1695, in Weymouth; bristol County Deeds report his selling land in 1731; also 1735 as of Warick, R.I.; he m. in Tuanton before 14th May, 1728, Mary, Dau. George and Elizabeth Townsend of Taunton (vide Bristol county Deeds, Vol. XXXVII, p. 149); he served in the French and Indian Wars; enl. 5th May, 1757 (vide State Archives, Rev.
