Squire (or Esquire) (Otis) Drake, born July 16, 1800, in Mass.; died Dec. 6, 1884,in North Volney, NY; married October 20, 1825, in Onondaga County, NY, Lydia Abbott, born Feb. 12, 1808, died June 7, 1884, in North Volney, daughter of Joseph and Chloe (Blackman).

i. Helen M., b. July 23, 1826; d. Nov. 8, 1863; m. William Rolston of Canada.
ii. Anna E., b. January 7, 1828; d. Dec. 19, 1834.
iii. Lydia Emmeline Elizabeth, b. June 21, 1831, in Lysander, Onondaga Co.,NY; m. Jan. 4, 1853, in New Haven, Oswego Co., NY, Stewart Cunnings Du Bois.
iv. Abram Hosea, b. Sept. 21, 1834.
v. Otis I., b. May 29, 1835; d. Nov. 12, 1862, in Barry Co., Mich.; m. Alice Church in Oswego Co., NY .
vi. Major Rensselaer David, b. Aug. 27, 1840; d. Dec. 10, 1864; m. Sarah M. Sweet, 1862, s.p.
vii. Louis Henry, b. June 14, 1845; d. Sept. 12, 1892, s.p., at Palermo; interred in No. Volney, NY; m. Jan. 4, 1874, Ella M. Ward, b. July 16, 1852,dau. of Garret and Olive A. (Jones).

The four brothers were in the late war. Abram and Otis enlisted in Michigan.Rensselaer enlisted in 1861 in 24th Reg. NY Vol. Inf.; re-enlisted in 1862 in 4th NY Heavy Artillery, and died in Alexandria, VA. Louis H. enlisted August 21, 1864, in Co. A. 184th Regt. NY Vol. Inf.; discharged June 27, 1865. He was in the heavy marches up and down the Shenandoah Valley, and was wounded at Cedar Creek.
