Adjunct Faculty: Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
Herb Drake began his career in electronic engineering, developing both hardware and software for various companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. He served as Engineering Manager at Rydax, Program and Hardware Engineering Managers at Harris Digital Telephone Systems, and Director of Engineering at Tegal before starting his own software development business where he developed software applications for genealogists. Drake took a leave from this technical track to pursue a theological education at Golden Gate Seminary. During that time he co-edited Prof. Stan Nelson's A Believers' Church Theology and designed various Christian web sites on the Internet. He also serves as co-pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sausalito. Herb's work on the faculty includes the development of software to deliver on-line education and to provide various staff members with a means to update their own pages on the school's web site. He also has various other support and consultancy duties, including the teaching of a church web authoring class.
