More About THOMAS DRAKE: Burial: Titus'Mill Rd. Hopewell, Hunterdon, NJ
Notes for DOROTHY VANKIRK: The LDS Ancestral file gives Dorothy's Birth date as 1730. Susan Morten(File#3831D) gives her BD as 20 Sep 1734. This date causes great inconsistencies in the birth and marriage dates of her daughter Mary.

Children of THOMAS DRAKE and DOROTHY VANKIRK are: i. RALPH3 DRAKE, b. 1752, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; d. 1815, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; m. REBECCA STOUT. ii. HENRY DRAKE, b. Abt. 1753, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; d. 15 November, 1796, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; m. SUSANNAH BLACKWELL. iii. JOHN DRAKE, b. 1754, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; m. CHARITY HUNT, 20 February, 1779, Hunterdon,NJ. iv. MARY DRAKE, b. Abt. 08 August, 1758, Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey; d. 1827, Diebers,,Pennsylvania; m. CHARLES WOLVERTON, See Notes, Hunterdon,NJ.
Notes for MARY DRAKE: There are several conflicts of dates in the sources for Mary. The LDS Ancestral File gives a birthdate of 8 Aug 1745 and marriage to Charles Wolverton as 8 Aug 1763. Susan Morten (Ancestry file #3831D) gives a birth date of about 1758. No marriage date given. She gives a birth date of 1734 for Dorothy VanKirk, Mary's mother. If we accept the specific dates given by Susan, rather than the approximate dates given in the LDS file, it would make Mary Drake and Charles married when she was 8 years old. There's something very wrong about her birthdate. ?Possibly Thomas had another wife, and she is a child of the first wife? (speculation).

He moved to Montana after his marriage, and she missed him very much. He wanted her and Myrl to come there after they were married, but instead, they went to Chicago to be near to his brother. She always wondered how things would have worked out had they gone West instead of East.
