In my late mothers papers I found a family tree showing my direct line to James Drake 1792-1842. James Drake claimed collateral descent from Sir Francis Drake of Devon. This James Drake was married to Eliza Pottinger & there were 13 children one of which was my great-grandmother also Eliza. I am not sure how this James Drake's line goes back to Sir Francis - his father & grandfather were both named Thomas. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Susanne, I'm intrested in your post. I have found a site with detail about the Drake decedants. I would love to find out the name of all the children. I am a GGGG gand son of James. I would like to find more about his father and grand father
