My Grandfather was Robert Francis Drake. From what I know he came to Texas around 1890 with his Mother Georgia Fay Drake and Possibly his Father, but I am not sure about the Father. I know his mother is buried in the Brushy Creek Cemetery of Hunt County Texas. He is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Caddo Mills, Texas. I think he had a cousins Will Drake, but they did not speak.
My Grandfather was an astute business man, and at one time owned over 1000 acres of good farm land. He did not talk about his family, so we do not even know where he was born, but think it was Tenn. or Georgia.
Any ideas on where to start?
