Frances John Drake married Bridget Cox Norfolk Island 1841 they had 2 children before moving to Tasmania where they had another 10 children If anybody has any info it would be appreciated

My mothers maiden name is Drake and she was born in Launceston. It would be interesting to see if we have any links? Mums fathers name was Robert Albert Drake (b 1903) and he had brothers named Ernest, Thomas, Alfred, Alan, John and sisters Connie, Joyce, Peggy.... I am looking for information on Leslie Anson Drake, from Geeveston Tasmania. Wounded in France in WW1. My father is named Leslie France Ford, I am Wendy Frances Brown. The france being in honour of the resting place of Leslie Anson Drake. My Grandmother was Alice Elizabeth (McClenaghan) Ford, niece of L.A. Drake.My Cousin is travelling to Gallipoli soon and we would like to try and find the resting place of Lesie Anson Drake. We do not have is TAG Number. My father was William Leslie McClenaghan (mother Elizabeth Drake) nephew of Leslie Anson Drake and brother of Alice Elizabeth McClenaghan. I have the TAG Number etc of Leslie. I have been researching the McClenaghan family history and am still looking for information especially Mavis(Molly) Eileen McClenaghan married name (Doyle.) |

I'm trying to trace back to my Great Great Grandfather's parents or brothers and sisters etc and am wondering if they are connected to Frances John Drake? My Great Great Grandfather's name was Samuel William Drake born (in Tasmania i think) in 1852, married to Annie Irwin Page in 1881 in New Town, Tasmania. They had 9 children, Annie, Joseph, Alan, Murial, Sidney, Ernest, Vernon, Mabel and Joyce. If you have any info about the children of Frances John Drake please get in contact.

As per my previous post I have since discovered Mavis Eileen McClenaghan (married name Doyle) died in Western Australia on the 2nd December, 1956. She was registered as Mavis Irene Hockey . Any information re this lady would be appreciated |
