Hi my name is Janine Lasham and my grandmother was/is Kathleen Drake. She
was born 1916c in Leeds Yorkshire and at some stage travelled to Australia
where she married Stephen Lasham 1939 at Five Dock. She had their son 1940
and was living at 44 Bon Accord Avenue Bellevue Hill NSW Australia at that
time. I have no idea what heppened to her after this date. Her son (my
father) was put into a state ward when he was quite young. His father
returned to the UK but I have no idea what happened to Kathleen - I do know
she never connected with her husband again but have no idea if she returned
to UK also or stayed in Australia.

I may have received a message you sent from Friends Reunited that was intended for my father, Jack Billinge. He has no email address but if you contact me at andrewbillinge@ukonline.co.uk I may be able to help/put you in touch. I asked him the other day if he knew the name Janine Lasham and he said no, but that Lasham was familiar...now I can see you are a grand-daughter that's no surprise, he's 84.
