I am looking for info. on Samuel Drake born 1797 in PA., per Census records. I have searched all Drake's in 1800 PA. Census and have come up empty handed. Any info. or suggestions would be appreciated !! (I have also searched many sites and posted on many boards.)

Hi there Casaundra,

Samuel was born abt. 1796-7 in PA. He married Lydia (Strickland ?). They were in Lorraine OH. by 1828, and had several children in OH. Samuel was in Argos,Marshall Cnty., IN. by 1844 were he settled a farm West of the Maxinkuckee Lake.
Samuel's parents were most likely farmers. He most likely was living with family in OH., as I can not find him in any Census year in OH.
Any info., leads, ideas would be appreciated.

Hi I am also looking for a Samuel Drake but one born in 1823 according to the 1880 Ohio census in Union Co., Ohio. I have heard of a Samuel Drake buried in a small cemetery in the village of Enon which is just south of Springfield, Ohio.
