I just started researching the DRAKE line and I have had so much conflicting info. I used Family search.com, genealogy. com and looked up some census records and my info says the New Jersey Drakes are descendants of the England Drakes. But I have run into some info that says they are from Ireland. I am looking for ancestors of Reuben Golden Drake born Nov. 27 1825 and married Matila Ann Sanders. Reuben was from Hunterdon, New Jersey married in Perry , Ohio and was burried in Wisconsin. Is their 1 website that has more accurate info than another. If my info is correct I have traced the Drake family back to Nicholas Le Drake born 1275 in Great Waltham, Essex, England his wife's name was Agnes and that is all I have been able to find. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.THX Yvon chapman@mwt.net

Seeking data on Mary Drake born Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottingham, England in the early 1700's. Looking for her data & pedigree.
She married Richard Bowlby in New Jersey in the mid 1700's. They had 13 children all born in Mansfield [Woodhouse], NJ between 1750-1779.

As a Loyalist family they removed to Nova Scotia, Canada after the Revolutionary War - abt 1783 where they settled and died, Richard Bowlby died Nov 1818 near Lawrencetown, Nova Scotian and Mary (Drake) Bowlby died 1784 in Bricton, Wilmot, Nova Scotia.

One of my “cousins” came up with this information which he has sourced to the World on Ancestry to which I don’t have access and also t the following family search links. Previously all the Bowlby records have not shown any parentage for Mary..

Parents of Mary Drake baptized 15 April 1718 are

They were married

Mary apparently had a brother, Thomas

The info for Thomas Drake is also from England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906 about Thomas Drake on Ancestry.com but you need access to the world to access it.:

Name: Thomas Drake
Gender: Male
Birth Date: abt 1717
Christening Date: 28 Mar 1717
Christening Place: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England
Father's name: Joseph Drake
Mother's name: Margaret

Barbara Bizani descended from Richard and Mary's daughter Elizabeth who married Thomas Bray
