Moses F. Drake was born in Oct. of 1832 in Parkman, Piscataquis Co., Maine to Elisha Drake and Abigail Roberts Drake. Elisha was a son of Rev. War patriot Oliver Drake who fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Moses F. Drake had several brothers and sisters, including twins Amelia and Adelia, born in 1843. They are all in the 1850 census. After that Moses married Phoebe Halstead of Stark and Henry Co., IL in 1858. Phoebe's parents were Samuel and Lois Halstead. Does anyone know Lois's maiden name? They were in the 1860 census in IL. After that Moses and family moved to Iowa, and then Washington State. Moses and Phoebe were divorced in 1890 in WA. Moses died March 6, 1905 in Multnomah County, Oregon. Phoebe died March 5, 1923 in Chicago, IL. I do not know where either of them is buried.
