Hello Roy Andrews:
I had previously contacted you about Mary Elizabeth Ann Drake Milton
Briffett and you offered to put my concern in your question group. I have
another question, that I would like to ask you. I am in possession of the
first 1/2 of a Genealogical Table showing descent from Edmund Drake. I
believe the Table came from the book by Lady Eliott Drake, written in 1911,
Vol. 1. It may have been perused at the Plymouth Public Library. I currently
have a Inter Library Loan search going on in the USA to determine if the
text is available for loan. In the interim, I would like to ask you, "Have
you seen the Table" I am hazarding a guess that the balance of the Table may
help me to create a Family Tree with the current Drake information that I
have. Do you have any suggestions whether the Table may be available
elsewhere. I have browsed the Internet and haven't seen any evidence of such
a Table being available.
I really didn't realize until I started looking into the Drake
information sources of how many others are trying to identify a piece of
poor old Sir Francis in their Family Trees. I am trying to verify, one way
or another, that the Drake in my lineage is related to Sir Francis. My
interest stems from Mary Elizabeth Ann Drake Milton Briffett in the
Bridgwater area of Somerset. Apparently, which is not uncommon in many
families, Sir Francis Drake, by word, has been related to the family.
Any suggestions that you may have would be very much appreciated. Have
you seen the Table?

HI My husbands maternal family tree is called StranGe, and I found a Katherine Strange b 1660 East Hnney Berks married married Richard Stone b 1652, in 1674. THey had dtr Katherin Stone b 1674 Horth Hinksey Berks who married Bamfield (Bamfylde) Drake b 1670 Buckland Monochorum Devon, at West Hanney Church in 1692, They had 8 children b Farway Devon. He is a great great grandson of Edmund Drake b abt 1514 .
Bamfield & Katherine Drake had 8 children
1)Joseph b 1694 Farway bap Buckland Monochorum, married 1 nov 1720 at Bodmin Cornwall , Rebecca
2) Eleanor b 1696 Farway married 25 oct 1720
at Bodmin Cornwall, William May
3) Joan b 1698 Farway married 17 april 1722 at Bodmin Cornwall Samueal Key
4) Francis Drake b 1701 Farway m Sarah Bridges. son Benjamin Drake b 1742 Virginia USA m Rachel Davids
5) Katherine b 1702 Farway
6) Bamfylde b 1704 Farway
7) William b 1705 Farway married 1733 Sophia
8) John b 1709 Farway died 1753 buried St Andrews Plymouth. Married 13 aug 1736 Farway Anne Spicer.
