My 10th gr. grandmother is Sarah Drake b. 1686 at Piscataway, NJ, m: Ensign Benjamin Hull 1704. She was the daughter of Rev. John Drake, granddaughter of Capt. Francis Drake. Is Capt. Francis Drake's father Robert Drake or Thomas Drake? |

I was under the impression (not verified) that the father's name was Edmund Drake. Also, 'the' Sir Francis Drake had no issue.

The ancestral line for Capt. Francis Drake
has not been verified ---we are awaiting some
further DNA test results that will support
documents, etc... then we can proceed. It has
been thought that his father might be Robert Drake - let's wait until we know, okay?
