Wednesday, 6 October 2010 6:01 AM Mr. Andrews, I was told years ago that I am a descendant of Sir francis drake. My Grandmother had a passport with the drake name on it into the US and silverware with the drake name engraved. I was wondering if there is info present that would validate the claim? She said a female drake married a brabizon and brabizon toa mccommons. I am also very interested in his history. I heard a castle he lived in still exists in england? Thanks, Christopher McCommons |

Thursday, 7 October 2010 4:50 PM Roy, thanks for getting back to me! Well, I'm not saying it was his children, only the name. My Grandmother said, "Grandma Drake" , came into the US and she has her passport and sterling silverware. So how can I validate who she was in relation to the Admiral and thomas? As you can imagine, I have been fascinated by this since childhood. I am a songwriter for film living in hollywood,ca. I am very influenced by rock music from england and the uk. When I was younger I was a competition water skiier and my father and I both grew up on the lake and have always had boats. My dad would tell us these stories of Drake and pirates, etc. So I want to know what the relation is now that I'm older. Let me know what we can come up with and if I can provide any info, Sincerely, Chris McCommons --- On Thu, 10/7/10, Roy Andrews <roy@xroyvision.com.au> wrote: From: Roy Andrews <roy@xroyvision.com.au> Subject: Re: Roy Andrews/ Drake history To: "Christopher McCommons" <chrismccommons@yahoo.com> Date: Thursday, October 7, 2010, 12:09 AM Hi Christopher and sorry to disappoint you but the Admiral was married twice but no children, His brother Thomas had lineage, the castle that the admiral lived in is still in existence in the UK, Regards, Roy |

Thursday, 7 October 2010 5:18 PM Roy, I think the last name I mentioned might be spelled brabazon. Maybe in relation to Sir William Brabazon or George brabazon. |
