Hello,
Good to have found you. I would appreciate any information or be glad to share any I have regarding my maternal great-grand mother, Josephine (Josie) Drake, who married Augutus Bodine. What I know is: Josephine Drake wed Augustus Bodine. One of their children was Charles Buroughs (SI) Bodine, my grandfather. I know he had siblings but do not know any details. Charles Bodine wed Florence Vaserhaly. The had three daughters. First born Shirley Bodine wed Robert Cameron. One daughter, Robin Cameron. Second born Josephine Bodine wed Jacob Jacobs. Daughter Theresa Jacobs, sons Micheal Jacobs, Johnathan Jacobs. Third born Florence Bodine wed Julian L. Rice. Sons Charles Bodine Rice, Daniel Jay Rice, daughters Laura Ann Rice,Lizabeth Diane Rice, Susan Lynn Rice and Bonnie Smullen Florence rewed Paul Smullen. I am Charles (Chuck) Bodine Rice, son of Florence (Bonnie) Bodine.
Any help that I can give or get will be appreciated.
Thank You,
Chuck B.Rice

Hmm, I wonder if gridning the almonds in mortar and pestle would turn out well. I of course, have not ever attempted to make it, but I have used mortar and pestle to grind roasted chick peas and that has worked well in the past, and I think that's the texture similar to what the almond powder should have. I also think that gridning it would be fresher than buying it powdered.
