Hi,

I am a student researching the history of Torre Abbey, a monastery in Devon in the middle ages.I thought
you might be interested to know of a Brother William Drake, who was ordained as a canon and deacon of
the abbey by the Bishop of Exeter on 20th Dec. 1315, and as a priest by the same on 23rd September
1318 (Register of Walter Stapledon, ed. Hingeston-Randolph, pp. 502, 511, 521). Is there much
information about the Devonshire Drakes in this early period that you know of?

Cheers
