The 67 Y-DNA test firmly attached Simon Drake to the colonial Isle of Wight - Southampton Drakes.
Simon was the son of Goodson Drake, grandson of Thomas Drake (brother of Barnaby), great grandson of John, born in Isle of Wight/Southampton about 1680.
John was son of John, baptized 3 May, 1647 in South Petherton, Somerset Co., England.
The last John was son of Richard and Thomasine Drake, indentured servants from Bristol to colonial VA, 1858.
