According to the information I have, which is not official or supported at this time by my own research, Jonathan Drake was born in Wales and died in Southampton Co., Virginia. No years are known. I have no parents or siblings listed. Does anyone know of this person? Can you provide any info at all?

Jonathan's son, Barnaby Drake apparently lived and died in Southampton Co., Va., again years not known. He married Mary ???. Were there other children?

Barnaby's son, Exum Drake (born about 1750 in Southampton Co., Va.) married Elizabeth ??? and was the father of Richard Drake, also born in Southampton Co., Va. in 1775. Richard died in Seminole County, Ga. 24 Jan 1857, and was married to Pheraba Bryant (b. 1780, Southampton County, Va.)

In addition to Exum, other children I have listed for Barnaby and Mary are:
Sarah, Martha, Burrell (or Burwell), Milbia (Mibbia or Milbra), Penny, Mourning, and Simmons. I have no information or dates for any of these children.

One child of Richard and Pheraba, Francis Bryant Drake (b. 16 Oct 1806 in Nash Co., NC; d. 27 Dec 1875 in Emanuel Co., Ga.) married Selina Hanle King (b. 21 Jul 1812 in NC; d. 27 May 1899 in Emanuel Co., Ga.). They had 12 children, and I have information on this family to some extent. My great-grandmother, Adra Ann Sarusha Drake (b. 15 Jul 1852 in Emanuel Co., Ga.; d. 27 Mar 1937 in Tattnall Co., Ga.), was one of their children.

Just wanting to connect with others in this Drake family who may be able to share their information.

There was a Drake book published (actually 3 volumes, if I'm not mistaken), but I'm not sure if they are still in print. My mother had a copy which disappeared shortly before her death. Does anyone know where a copy of the book(s) can be obtained?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Go here .worldcat.org/title/descendants-of-exum-drake/oclc/3606650
It will tell you libraries that have copies of this book, and you can see your local library to arrange an interlibrary loan.
